Leif Brecke was a life long activist and fifth generation Cascadian forest worker.
He was a veteran of the bioregion’s forest defense and anti-corporate globalization movements.
Leif was the founder of the Resilient Communities Project and Cascadian Resilience Network.
A graduate of the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Cultural Anthropology, Leif's primary research interests were:
the commons, peer governance, network theory, complex systems, community resilience, and community resistance.
